The CKSC dry-type iron core series reactor is a key component for reactive power compensation in power systems. When connected in series with power capacitors, it effectively suppresses high-order harmonics in the power grid, limits inrush currents and switching overvoltages, improves voltage waveform quality, and enhances the power factor of the system, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of power capacitors and other electrical equipment.
1. Overview
The CKSC dry-type iron core series reactor is a critical component of reactive power compensation systems in power networks. When connected in series with power capacitors, it effectively:
- Suppresses high-order harmonics in the power grid
- Limits inrush currents and switching overvoltages
- Improves system voltage waveform
- Enhances grid power factor
This ensures the safe and reliable operation of power capacitors and other electrical equipment.

3. Product Features
1. The reactor core is made of high-quality silicon steel sheets, with core columns divided into uniform segments by multiple air gaps. Gaps are insulated with epoxy laminate sheets to maintain stability over long-term operation.
2. Core end faces are bonded with silicone steel sheet adhesive, ensuring sheets are firmly held together, reducing noise, and providing moisture and dust resistance.
3. Coils are epoxy-cast and reinforced internally and externally with epoxy glass mesh, cast under vacuum using F-class epoxy system. This ensures excellent insulation, mechanical strength, and resistance to large current surges and thermal shocks.
4. Epoxy-cast coils are water-resistant with low partial discharge, allowing safe operation under harsh conditions.
5. Top and bottom ends of coils are equipped with epoxy pads and silicone rubber shock absorbers to reduce vibration during operation.
4. Operating Conditions
1. Ambient temperature: -25℃ to +40℃; annual average temperature 20℃
2. Relative humidity: ≤50% at 40℃; up to 90% at 20℃
3. Altitude: ≤1000 meters above sea level
4. Installation environment should be free from harmful gases, vapors, and conductive or explosive dust
5. Any conditions beyond these specifications should be discussed with the technical department and specified in the order
5. Technical Specifications
1. Smaller size, lighter weight, compact structure, and easy installation compared to traditional oil-immersed or air-core reactors
2. Temperature class: F (155℃); maximum temperature rise of core and coil ≤90K during normal operation
3. Continuous operation at 1.35 times rated current
4. Operating noise complies with industry standards
5. Voltage withstand level meets JB5346-1998 “Series Reactors” standard
6. Customer Ordering Requirements
